It’s been a little quiet here lately, hasn’t it?
But behind the scenes, things have been anything but slow!
I’ve spent the last few weeks pouring (and painting!) my heart into preparing for a local market — a soft re-introduction of some beautiful handmade treasures for your home. From candles and sprays to unique pieces crafted with love, everything had to be ready just one week after I got back from Bali — which, let’s just say, made things a little frantic!
This trip to Bali was extra special. It was my birthday getaway (yes, again! 😄) and my second visit this year — and I couldn’t be more grateful (especially to my other half Pete who reluctantly agreed to go back for a 7th time HAHA He was quite happy once there though, don’t worry LOL). This time we ditched the plans and embraced being present. Wandering the streets, scootering through lush laneways (and heavy traffic, that’s Bali for you), savouring local meals, and getting lost in colourful markets… It was exactly the kind of soul-food I needed.
- This peaceful woven sculpture stopped me in my tracks while wandering the streets of Ubud, Bali
- A quiet sketching moment in Bali — surrounded by light, colour, and a pool that makes everything glow
- Inside a dreamy vegan café in Ubud — rustic charm, botanical details, and the most delicious food
- It was hard not to feel inspired in a setting like this — pure Bali bliss under the fairy lights
- Sun-flushed, windblown, and wildly grateful — this is my Bali face 😄🌞
- Of course I couldn’t resist an art supply haul — Miya gouache in all my favourite colours, for a fraction of the price!
I came home feeling refreshed… for about 48 hours — before catching a bug! 🤒 Plane germs anyone??
But I pushed through, because I had a market to get ready for.
And I’m so glad I did.

A look at my stall from the latest market day — filled with handcrafted candles, original art, and colourful home treasures
The day flowed beautifully, and the response filled my heart. It’s always a little nerve-wracking to share new creations, but people truly connected with the scents, the stories, and the love I pour into each piece. There were so many lovely chats, shared laughs, and quite a few raised eyebrows (in the best way!) as people opened candles for a sniff and were met with a delightful surprise.
Now that the dust (and glitter) has settled, I’m back in my creative cave — getting everything ready for something even more exciting:
An online shop (still on this website) filled with colourful, handcrafted delights.
It’s not quite ready yet, but I promise you… it’s coming soon and I’m working REALLY HARD!!
Stay tuned — and thank you for being part of this journey with me 💛
With love,
Mimi
PS: I’d love to hear from you! 💛

Hi Mimi! I Just returned from my visit Bali visit with my family and it was lovely. I love the look of your latest Bali collection it makes me think of my trip as well. I still have my first artwork – purchased 11 years ago when I emailed him “I really like this painting I’m thinking of getting it – http://mimibondi.com/art/lifes-precious-moments/” it still makes me happy 🙂
Hey Anna, I am so glad to hear my collection reminded you of your recent Bali Trip, and I hope you got as inspired as I do when I go there 🙂
Ohhh are you saying you purchased Life’s Precious Moments from me? I have a different buyer name as a record… If I am mistaken, I would so love to see it in your home, if you would like to email me a photo 😉 xx mimi
Haha yes sorry my comment posted and I must’ve deleted a line somehow! It was my father that bought it for me for Christmas so long ago – I found the email I sent him when he asked what I would like. He got a print of an artwork I really liked as well 🙂
I’ve moved home (renting) 3 times since then and always carefuly when bringing it along. It sits near my large plant collection 🙂
That is so sweet to hear Anna! And that explains why I had a Bill recorded as the buyer 🙂
What a lovely dad you must have!
