I have always been fascinated by the beautiful artworks created by some mixed media artists.
You can use just about anything you have in your studio: paints, pens, paper, lace, small objects, inks, etc and combine to create completely unique and original pieces.
But, where do you start? How do you combine all those into an aesthetically pleasing composition instead of creating a complete mess?
I haven’t really tried it properly myself (the best I have tried is paint with tissue paper which is not very adventurous!) but I think that one way to start, is to see what others are doing and study how they have done it and get some inspiration!
You will find some links that I hope you too will find interesting and inspiring š
27-12-2013 update: I finally created my first piece! It’s called “Hold Onto Your Dreams”, check it out here but be gentle, I am still new at this mixed media business š
