Want mixed media inspiration?
It’s completely normal to feel a little stuck for ideas sometimes and one of the ways I fight this is by keeping an inspiration board on Pinterest called ‘For the Love of Mixed Media’…
There I pin all sorts of art journal pages from all kinds of artists around the world that inspire me.
When I need a little boost, all I need to do is look at a few of the photos on my board but…
I’m not saying to copy someone’s work because you should never do that UNLESS… It’s for personal practice!
In my No Shenanigans book and e-course, I absolutely encourage you to copy what I show you in the tutorials to give you a road map to create art from start to finish but once you have done the tutorials once or more, then you should definitely trust your gut and start adding elements that are your own š
Ok so I was saying… I look at my Pinterest board NOT with the intention to copy someone’s work, but to search for an element that resonates with me at that moment!
It could be an art mark, a colour combination, a shape, a quote, a layout, a feeling, a reminder to be messy… Anything that sparks inspiration is good š
I have over 900 pins in there (and some of them are my own work which I hope also inspire others out there, although I have not added many of mine for a while!) so if you’d like an easy way to get inspiration then I’ve already done the work for you hahaha
Click on the image below and… I hope you will start your own board if you haven’t already!
And I suggest putting your sunglasses on because you can expect this board to be pretty colourful š š
