Woohooo!!! I am so very excited to share my good news with you all!

Pete and I have been together for 3.5 years and although we are very stable and I was hoping he would one day want to get married, it wasn’t a necessity as we were very happy. But you know… if he asked, I wouldn’t say no 😉

Well, we went on a roadtrip for Labour Day’s long weekend and last Monday at 8 am (if you must know), we were walking on the beach at Nambucca Heads and I was running around playing with my dog Poppy…

… when suddenly, Pete stopped me in my tracks by saying he had a question to ask me…

I knew straight away what was going on and thought ”oh my god! Here we go!”… After fumbling in his pocket for the ring he had hidden in a makeshift, undercover box that wouldn’t attract my attention on the trip, he went down on one knee and asked me to marry him…

Oh this was so romantic and I was a bit in shock but my mind was clear enough to say “Yes!” and cover him in kisses.

He placed the lovely ring on my finger and, even though the proposal was a total surprise, the ring wasn’t as I chose it lol
A few months ago Pete admitted to me he had been looking at rings and was overwhelmed by the selection, the different sizes, styles and so on… I would be too! And I was when I started looking for one that would be ”me”… I searched online (forget about shops, they only had boring rings in my opinion and I wanted something original and different from every one else) and looked at thousands of rings before finding the one from a jeweller in the states.

It is so pretty and funky! Very detailed with the main rose on the top and little flowers and leaves all the way around.
They custom made it for me in my choice of white gold, blue topaz (I had to get my favourite colour) and green peridots.
The best part is that it’s actually part of a set with the wedding ring (I will have to wait, pfff 😉 to complete the design and I’m so grateful I got to choose a ring I really love!

We look a bit scruffy as we were just running around after sleeping in our camping van lol

There you have it! I am beaming and very excited!!
Not sure what the plans will be next as I am quite busy with my art at the moment but can’t stop thinking about it anyway!
