When it’s not big fat flowers, I go for big fat leaves as focal points LOL Lounge Session 24 is about keeping things simple (& shimmery, of course)!
When it’s not big fat flowers, I go for big fat leaves as focal points LOL Lounge Session 24 is about keeping things simple (& shimmery, of course)!
A large flower appeared as the focal point of Lounge Session 23… Simple, proud and free! Flowers & circles are my go to focal points in a lot of my art!
In Lounge Session 22 I’m finishing up a page with potential: it already has pretty colours and yummy 3D texture so it won’t need much more to look cool š
I received some happy mail with little artworks made from my book Secret Stash so… I incorporated into a colourful art journal so I never lose them!
Black is king in Lounge Session 20 and whenever I use it, I always get such a strong impact! Add a little sparkle and… yes!
Drip it, stamp it, spray it, paint it, splatter it… I’m using some of my favourite products in Lounge Session 19: FW acrylic inks & Marabu Art Sprays!
In Lounge Session 18 I am showing how I created the smaller artwork I used in Lounge Session 15! Should I have uploaded first but I forgot š
You don’t need a hundred layer to create a beautiful art journal page. Just a touch of glitter in Lounge Session 17 was enough to lift my spirits!
In Lounge Session 16 I’m trying to make a bland page more interesting with subtle marks but it’s only when I added neon colours that it came to life!
Lounge Session 15 is about combining 2 elements I created previously (a background and a smaller artwork) into one cohesive (and finished) layout š
Sometimes, creating a page is about combining elements together, and making them ”work” together into a unified layout. This is what I do… Let’s play š
I wanted to use my new Art by Marlene stamps so I picked my favourite one to make this art journal page really look great (well, I’m biased!!)…
Part 2 of my ’round stencil on a rectangular page” dilemna š Got to use my Posca pens to add a few marks and now I’m loving this art journal page!
A round stencil was the inspiration for this Lounge Session 11 so, let’s try to fit a round peg in a ‘rectangular’ page, shall we?!!!
Nothing pops more than painting on a black background and adding happy (and maybe a little fluorescent?!) colours right on top… This style of mixed medias makes my heart sing!!
It has been quite a journey to get there but I am FINALLY happy with the results!! It all started in Lounge Session 8 but ended for good in Lounge Session 9 š
Lounge Session 8 was a struggle! I thought I was getting somewhere with my art journal page and then I got stuck… I tried and tried and still got nowhere lol It just happens sometimes!
Texture is the goal of Lounge Session 7! I love using modeling paste (also called texture paste) to add dimension to my pages and this pretty stencil really made my art journal page pop š
Lucky me, I got another set of stamps from IndigoBlu called ‘Light and Sounds’, aren’t these cool?? Let’s see what they look like stamped inĀ Lounge Session 6! These may just become another favourite of mine…
In Lounge Session 5 I started with a page that was almost finished but… needed something extra. Sometimes you don’t need much to make your page feel complete!
In Lounge Session 4 I am finding a creative way to use the mixed media piece I created in Lounge Session 3 by turning it into a larger art journal page!
InĀ Lounge Session 3 I am creating a small mixed media piece with a collage of deli paper I smothered in delicious watercolours and the prettiest flower napkin I have ever seen!
Today in Lounge Session 2 I am turning a page I was testing new stamps one (the ones fromĀ IndigoBluĀ I tested out in Lounge Session 1) into an an art journal page I love š
Today in Lounge Session 1 I am testing new stamps by IndigoBlu (a brand I just discovered) called Tasty Textures and boy, they are tasty indeed! No doubt I’ll be using them lots on my art journal pages š
