Distress Oxide Sprays Art Journal Page
Today I pulled out my Distress Oxide Sprays to create a fun and super easy mixed media background and art journal page…
I threw some colour down thenĀ all I did was add a little texture (subtle, and more obvious) and then added my focal points.
The focal points were painted with watercolour on watercolour paper and then just cut out.
I hope you will watch the video below and let me know if it has inspired you to get your distress oxide sprays out of the corner they have been hiding in š
Don’t forget to leave me a comment below so I know you stopped by my way!

Great fun. Thank you.
Thanks Susan! So good to hear from you š š
I love your use of the vibrant colors & texture. Since I only have the oxide ink pads, would I be able to get the same results by pressing them on the pad & spraying the water? Thanks for sharing. Your videos are always very useful.
Thanks so much Linda, it feels good to hear that š Your paper will start absorbing ink when you press it on paper so you may see the square edges of the pad but who cares, just give it a go š
You can also press the pads on your gel plate or silicone mat, spray with water and then press your paper on top to get fun watercolour effects. Not the same as my video but cool too!
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for stopping by Carol, glad you enjoyed the tutorial š
