Layering on gel prints: easy ways to embellish!

Why add some layering on gel prints? Because if you don’t they are just backgrounds with no purpose in life 🙂
Well, mine are anyway because I only use simple techniques to create them!
If you missed the videos showing you how I created those gel prints, watch my Easy Gel Print Session and Gel Printing with Dylusions Inks & Shimmer Sprays.

Now let’s embellish those babies!! It’s so easy… Just grab whatever you have layering around (brush, paints, crayons, stamps, stencils, etc) and add art marks all over in random patterns.

Don’t forget to leave me a comment below with your feedback, and what you like to do with your gel prints, I’d love to hear!
I’ll show you how I turn mine into a gel print art journal very soon 🙂 I’ve already shared all my finished pages from that journal on my Instagram here.

That’s what I like to hear!! Go play Deb 🙂 Thank you so much for your lovely comment xx

  2. Oh, this is really embarrassing! I noticed the stencil was the same size as the large Stencil Girl stencils, so went and checked there, and found it. Then, it slowly dawned on me, that I actually had it! Not only had I forgotten I’d bought it, but I’d also forgotten I’d even seen it before! Oops! I blame it on chemo brain. 3 rounds of chemo (so far) have shot my short term memory.

I’m glad you managed to find it, and BONUS, you had already had it! It was a sign to say it was time for it to be used at last hahaha 🙂 It happens to most of us, don’t you worry – I recently bought a corner puncher only to find the exact same one hanging in a corner of my studio not long after 😛

  3. Hi Mimi
The link in your newsletter takes you to the gel printing using Dylusions sprays, instead of this page. Just thought I’d let you know.

Lovely colourful papers. Where is that paisley design stencil from? I’d love to get a paisley stencil, but hadn’t seen any before.
